Super Show 5: A Sapphire Blue Night

So my 2013 ended with a bang!

The Super Show 5 Stage

Before the super date, finally the long wait is over! Super Show 5 Manila is happening!!! I have been waiting for this concert after 2 years. This is my 3^rd Super Junior concert after 2 and 3.

So far, I’ve attended all Supershows here in Manila.

The boys held theire SS2 and SS3 in Smart Araneta Coliseum and now found its new home in SM Mall of Asia Arena. There’s no missing this one of course as we don’t have SS4 in Manila. So PHELFs definitely can’t miss the chance to be part of the ultimate concert of them all. Every ELF or kpop fan wants to be a part of the sapphire blue ocean. This concert is special because 1) it’s Kangin’s first ever step here in PH as he was in the army during the last two Supershows held here and 2) Heechul’s first Super show 5 tour after the military. Great expectations here that’s why everyone’s excited!

The countdown to the greatest date started. ELFs were counting the days and started planning for fan projects. Always a habit of every super show. This make fans more excited because they anticipate what the boys' reaction would be to every fan project.

The day has finally come. Since we got reserved seats, me and my sister left around 11AM from Pampanga to the venue. Once we arrived, fans were everwhere since gates will be open at 3PM> Everyone's excited inclusing us!!! **here it is, that nostalgic feeling**... We took photos while waiting for gates to open (which was delayed, instead of 3PM it beccame past 4.) It feels like a reunion w/ kpop friends too.

When the gates opened, we went inside and waited on a line in our respective sections. All the excitement when the doors opened to our own section and walked to our seats. That feeling!!!!!!!! OMO!!!! And then it's minutes away before 7PM. As every seats were filled, they played a Super Junior song and everyone sang, waving their sapphire blue lighsticks.

Then finally, lights out, and everyone screamed so LOUD!!!!

After the first video, there they are! So cool and handsome for their first song Mr. Simple. Everyone's screamin' like crazy.. like there's no tomorrow. Followed by Bonamana and Super Girl before they introduced themselves. Oh, they're so cute like speaking in Tagalog and even english... what's more funny is Eunhyuk saying he can't speak english fluently so fans should learn korean instead.. ha ha ha! cute~ ^^)

These boys really never fail to make us love them. Each of them introduced themselves and right after is every scream.. though we did not heard Sungmin because his mic was off i think, but still does not make any difference, everyone screamed on how cute he is. What's funny among their intros was when it's Kangin' turn, everyone was excited and shouted his name 'Kangin! Kangin! Kangin!' so he asked 'Wae?' as in 'why?' he he.... Donghae sang while introducing himself 'Would you be my girlfriend?' and Heechul, oh Heechul, was so shy so eveyone needs to shout his anthem 'Saranghaeyo, Kim Heechuk! Uyubitkal, Kim  heechul!' to energize him. Henry and Siwon, of course, spoke to fans in english. So damn cute!

One of my favorites is when the four balladeers Sungmin, Zhoumi, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun performed 'How am I suppose to live without you' cover. They were awesome. Truly their skills fit right for an idol. A tribute made us teary eyed when their ballad group KRY minus Yesung sang the ost of the hit korean series 'That Winter, the Wind Blows' and Yesung's video in slo-mo hitting the screen. He is currently serving the military and will be back for a while. We surely miss him already, as much as the members do.

Super Junior M performed their songs 'Breakdown', 'Go' and other hits together with Henry and Zhoumi, oh how i love them!!!

The next set of songs were their ballads from the previous albums. They even performed 'Its You' my favorite and bringing back nostalgia to fans, that mv where they were complete with Kibum and Hangeng. They also asked fans to sing with them while performing 'Bittersweet' and 'Memories' aawww.

The most awaited number, well, i waited for it too, was them performing 'Rockstar' where they danced to the groove, headbanging, singing, solo dancing, that Siwon! LOL... and Heechul's turn, then Eunhyuk's shirt was off!!!! Oh, you know what I mean! It was truly entertaining hahaha!!!

A few more songs were performed and everyone sang and dance with them. Fan projects were also successful. The fan project for having a blue wedding was a big hit! Everyone has a blue flower crown as the song 'Marry U' was performed. It's a song Super Junior made for their fans as a commitment of loving them and thanking them for being there. And what's more revealing was when after that song, a big banner from fans (another fan project) went down saying 'ok, Let's have babies'. Siwon was the best when he said, 'i wanna make babies with you'. O.M.G. This was a great epic moment!

Part of their fan service was of course, their cross dress performance. I can still remember how Siwon, Kangin, Sungmin and Ryeowook danced to girl groups' songs and dressed just like them. And during their happy and relaxing performances, they roam the stage, signing posters and magazines for fans, taking selcas from the fans' phones and cameras. This is how Super Junior loves their fans and treats them as friends.

It is very hard to end a Super Show. Even the boys tried to extend it by making us laugh while expressing their gratitude to us and saying their goodbyes. Even if our leader is still in the army, our boys are there, supporting each other and loving their fans, same with us ELFs, always there for them no matter what. They will return for Super Show 6 and as Siwon said, we'll take it step by step.
