Cathy Doll Whitening Sunscreen Review

Hi everyone! Summer time just passed by!

It's time to bring out the sunscreens and sunblocks to protect our skin from the harmful rays be it summer or not. Living in a tropical country like ours, this is always a must

I'm going to share my insights with this cute sunscreen in a tube my sister gave me from a blog surprise.

This is the Cathy Doll Whitening Sunscreen. A korean product, it has L-glutathione magic cream PA+++. It says it got the cool water splash technology with 5 key benefits.

~ skin whitening
~ waterproof
~ skin moisturizing
~ sun protection
~ pore tightening

Does not contain parabens and it expires 24 months after opening. A tube contains 60ml of product.

At first, you get the creamy water drop and there is a brightening effect afterwards. I can say it gives a cool feel on my skin after applying it. It has that menthol to ward of the sun's heat and give your skin an intense cooling sensation. SUPER LIKE!

sealed tightly ^^
The next level of sunscreen protection moves beyond mere protection against the sun and UV rays but shelter you from heat itself and it applies not only to your face but also to your whole body. This new formula is lighter than other sunscreen which provides high definition UV protection with titanium dioxide and immediately brightens your skin after one single application. Employing the power of cool water splash technology, the L-glutathione magic cream effectively wards off heat to deliver intense cooling sensation and penetrates skin layers fast to minimize dryness with intense L-glutathione and whitening pore tightening treats your skin will be brightened and free from dark spots. All-in-one moisturizing hydration, sunscreen protection and heat warding product especially for you.

Use a small amount and pat the face as I noticed a bit of a white cast left if not dried well. Then you can use a cc cream and bb cream after for the finished look.

I also use a fair amount for my arms and legs and spread it just enough as the texture is a bit thick and oily but watery.

Cathy Doll is already available in SM Malls and drugstores so no need to order or purchase them online as they are now available here in the PH. ^^

Skin Food Rice Wash Off Mask Review

Hi! It's been a while and seems like my first blog for the year 2017!
Been busy a lot lately and missed to greet you a Happy New Year and Kung Hei Fat Choi!^^~

Here's my review of another Skin Food product ~ the Rice Wash Off Mask which comes mildly compared to the last one I blogged which is the brown sugar variant.

I got mine from Althea for 350 php in a small tub.

Althea price: 350 php
Small Tub: 100g

It is a wash-off mask that transforms skin into a pure and soft texture and contains rice bran water. This contains rice extract that moisturizes skin and brightens tone. With its texture of ground rice, it leaves skin bright, soft and lustrous.

Ingredients:
WATER, CETYL ETHYLHEXANOATE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, CETYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERIN, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) BRAN WATER, STEARIC ACID, POLYSORBATE 80, HYDROGENATED JOJOBA OIL, GLYCERIL STEARATE, PEG-100 DSTEARATE, SORBITAN STEARATE, CARBOMER, DIMETHICONE, TRIETHANOLAMINE, SODIUM ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, SUCROSE COCOATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, DISODIUM EDTA, METHYLPARABEN, IMIDAZOLIDINYL UREA, BUTYLPARABEN, FRAGRANCE

I use this mild exfoliant on weekends only. At least once to twice a week to keep face looking youthful and radiant. This light, milky wash-off facial mask gently sloughs off dead skin cells while the rice extract brightens your skin and gives it a healthy, dewy glow.
I would recommend it to those with sensitive and dry skin because of its gentle formula that could brighten up dull skin. Using this did not cause me any irritation nor any painful feeling so it's really a must-have.

Until my next blog. Will make sure to update you constantly. (^_^)

Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect Essential Scrub 2x

This is the second black sugar scrub I had from Skinfood. The first one I tried was the Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash off. I believe this one is the upgraded version of the black sugar wash off.

The black sugar line is the famous line from Skinfood and has been part of every korean skin care of most beauty bloggers.

This tub was purchased from Korea when my friend / manager went there last time. It comes in a 210g dark brown tub which is bigger compared to the mask wash off of the same variant I had last time in a white small tub.

This skincare introduces the following features and functions:

Bio-tone up
Skin Renewup
Multi Fruit Complex

This is a scrub type that removes dead skin, improves skin texture and skin tone, moisturize and helps brighten skin.

I use it twice a week as this works as an exfoliator and just enough to shy away the blackheads and whiteheads on my sensitive skin. I have been using this for months now and I think it is quite effective. My skin feels soft and clean after washing off the mask.

Apply it gently on a slightly wet face and scrub it in a round motion very softly avoiding the eye areas. I usually put a lot on the nose area where my blackheads mostly are. leave it for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off.

Major ingredients:

Sucrose (76660.5 mg), macademia seed oil, meadowfoam seed oil, shea butter, evening primrose oil, olive oil, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, jojoba seed oil, brown sugar extract (210 mg), fermented rice, filtered water, lemon extract, apple extract, orange extract, papaya fruit extract, Lepidium meyenii root extract, Sarcodon, Aspratus extract

MISSHA Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator Ampoule

Another MISSHA product I got is the Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator Ampoule. Include this essential activator ampoule daily in your nighttime routine to get smooth and firm, beautiful skin. It provides your skin with extra nutrients and moisture lacking from your basic skincare.

This ampoule energizes, repairs, and restores elasticity. It also provides wrinkle repairing and whitening benefits. It has multi-vitamin complex ~ vitamins and vitamin derivatives, including vitamin C that creates a synergy effect with lactic acid ferment ingredients to help recover the condition of the skin.

The key ingredients would be:
Bifida Ferment ~ strengthens skin barrier to prevent damages and improve the skin for a more vitalized condition.
Lacobacillus Ferment ~ protects the skin for a clean, healthy condition.
Lactococcus Ferment ~ strengthens and soothes sensitive skin for a healthier condition.

I was curious when they say it's the complete science behind beautiful skin. Include it as part of your day and night routine. However, I chose to use the ampoule in my nighttime routine to get smooth and firm, beautiful skin.

It provides skin with extra nutrients and moisture. The ampoule energizes, repairs and restores elasticity. It also provides wrinkle repairing and whitening benefits. It's recommended to people who are in their late 20s - early 40s. If you want to experience prompt improving of the skin condition and have more elasticity this is the product for you.

The product comes in a hard glass bottle and a dropper to control the ampoule from the product.

I ordered this product from Althea Korea
amount: 1350 php
bottle: 50 ml

A massive list of the product's ingredients:

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream

I have been addicted to face creams lately. Recently, I just bought quite a few to make sure I have some on stock and try out those I am curious of.

I see there will be a battle of the creams. Ha ha! I just finished using this cream from Etude House and I loved it.

korean brand face creams~~
Honey Snail by Nella Fantasia; Honey Sleeping Pack by Holika Holika; Moistfull Collagen Cream by Etude House and Aqua Super Aqua Max by Nature Republic

I mentioned from my previous blogs that I am using the Etude House Moistfull Collagen line and had overall great results. So I added the collagen cream for the final step in my night skin care routine.
it comes with a spatula in the box

The moistfull collagen cream ingredients are composed of natural ingredients and no parabens and alcohol.

weight: 75ml / 160 g
price: 985 php (approx)
scent: mild flowery scent

Hydrolyzed Collagen, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Adansonia Digitata Fruit Extract, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Betaine, Kaolin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Pca Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Stearic Acid, Silica, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Poloxamer 407, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Phytantriol, Ppg-5-Laureth-5, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Alcohol, Water, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

The product is filled to the top and it can be used for quite a long time. As it is the last step in my routine, it feels like sealing all the moisture of the products I used first and a small amount is fine. I make sure I use it all over my face and neck.

No wonder this is one of Etude House best seller products in their list. It is definitely worth buying!~
It is very moisturising and I can say a very promising product indeed.

The Face Shop Collagen Water Firming Moisture Mist

I'm back with a review of the second face mist I've tried from The Face Shop. Sad that I was not able to write a review about the first one which was The Face Shop Jeju facial mist.

They re branded their facial mists and added a few selection so it will be compatible to different types of skin.

very convenient to bring anywhere ~ it's in a small bottle

The Face Shop Collagen Water Firming Moisture Mist is my option as it holds moisture within plus the collagen features and ingredients to make the skin firmer yet fresher is a catch.
can be used 12 months after opening or first spraying it
Price: 350 php / 60ml bottle

The bottle is not refillable and to be disposed after use. The instructions say do not shake the bottle before spraying the mist and spray it a few centimeters away from the face.
once sprayed ~ it is moisture all over
notice the pinkish part ~ it does not erase the make up after spraying
It makes the skin hydrating within the day and keeps it firm too. It was great that it can be used even with make up on. I like the pink and white bottle too.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Review

Being a fan of moisturizing products, I live up to its benefits and what it can also do to make my skin glowing and healthy.

I tried one collagen product from Etude House and came up with tons of good feedback about how collagen works on the skin.

Etude House has been famous with their Moistfull Collagen skin care which has been ongoing for years. I am personally using almost all of their collagen products and I am always loving it.

Prices:
Collagen Masks - 58 php (no photos, sorry~)
Moistfull Collagen eye concentrate - 898 php
Moistfull Collagen essence - 798 php
Moistfull Collagen emulsion - 728 php

I tried the face masks before especially after using nose strips or exfoliating, it is more effective as it seals the pores and makes it moisturized and tight within giving the skin firmness and glow. This was one tip an Etude House staff told me before.

I bought the skin care in each bottle every time the stores has the stock and told myself I will give the collagen skin care line a try. And it worked.

I can say after months of using them, it is effective as it gave my skin a healthy looking glow and I think consistently using it makes it even better.

I got the eye cream from Super Collagen line, Moistfull Collagen essence and Moistfull Collagen emulsion.

The eye concentrate is a bit thicker cream and a pea sized amount goes a long way. It lasted me 5 months of using it. I apply it around my eyes and I think it just minimized small wrinkles under but I cannot say it lightened the dark circles. I don't really have those dark circles but I tend to have them when I lack sleep, of course, when working over over over time. Ha ha ha!

cool pot comes w/ a small spatula~

One of the reasons why I keep moisturizing products at bay is because my work environment (cold office) and outside (warm, hot sometimes, tropical country we have) and stress (from work and loads of work) makes my skin dry.

I never gave up on essences and creams of course. So, with this Moistfull Collagen essence, I apply it at night religiously and I felt and saw the difference. Even friends noticed and mentioned it once or twice I got dewy and glowing skin.

The last step after the essence, I have the Moistfull Collagen emulsion to seal the first products and help deeply moisturize my skin. This emulsion is lighter than the essence and has a watery or more liquid consistency if compared to essence which is a bit heavy - like a lotion, only applied to the face.

Creams are the last step on the skin care and I apply it very seldom as they use to be a bit heavy for me. But lately, I use the Moistfull Collagen cream which I just bought from Etude House. It deeply nourishes and completes my collagen skin care at night.

after a whole day w/o retouching / outside the wedding venue

No, I dont really want to post a selfie but this is one of my photos after months of using this skin care line.
at home, I don't have make up on here - bare faced me!
w/ my new glasses hehe! again, no make up (at home) ~ just look at my eyebrows ^_^
I have not finished using them yet and I think they have a month to go before I ran out. Will post my next skin care as I bought quite a few night creams lately for my korean beauty haul and excited to try them out. ^_~

Etude House Mascara Remover

After a whole day in the office with make up on, I need a mild, gentle but of course, a one-shot make up remover.
this is how it looks when you shake it
I got to try this Etude House Mascara Remover for a one shot clean. Not only for eye make up and mascara, it is also effective to wipe away my face make up. I use it really for eye make up but just a very small amount for the face.

Price: 198 php / 80 ml

Very effective.

I had a 25 ml travel bottle here because I got a trial size when I bought products from Etude House before and purchased 500 php worth that time, I think.

I just bought my third bottle of this mascara remover ~ take note that it is always sold out in my favorite Etude House store. So whenever they have few in stock I buy two bottles if the one I'm using is already half a bottle. I am the type to make sure one is reserved ~ I don't like that feling when I ran out of stash. ^_~

It comes in a pink and clear bottle and in one size only.

But this bottle comes a long way. For everyday use, it is very mild and safe and it takes away the make up in one shot.

Shake the bottle first before using it so the pink liquid at the bottom is well mixed with the clear substance. It is non greasy and it felt some sort of an oil but watery too.

I came up with the ingredients from Etude house page.

Cyclopentasiloxane, Water, Hydrogenated Poly (C6-14 Olefin), Dipropylene Glycol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Sodium Chloride, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Allantoin, Betaine, Benzophenone-4, Butylene, Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance(Parfum), Red 4 (Cl 14700), Blue 1 (CI 42090)

Notice that there are parabens in this product but since it is used on the eyes and just a remover, no harm i think on that. It is also washed off after since this remover is used before all the skin care steps we do at night.
